From the Town Where I Was Born...
Speaking of gratifying projects, here's my niece in her Yellow Submarine tee.
A Major Major Project
Corporate Whore, Part Deux!
Also, this picture failed to convey the hugeness of the t-shirt itself, but to put it into perspective, I'm swimming in the damn thing, fully clothed at about 6' and 200 lbs.
Long awaited update!
OK, I've been neglecting this blog for a bit. I've still been busy with the tees, I've just been lazy with the blog. I finished up all the tees for home in time, and as far as I can tell, everybody involved dug the tees I made. Here's the bride and groom in their tees, but I don't have any pics of the kids in theirs (S, J, get to work on that, will ya? I need to put that shit up here!).
OK, on to other stuff.

I'm very excited about the new projects I'm working on. Some very, very cool stuff being done for my family. First, I'm doing a Beatles' Yellow Submarine tee for my niece. It's a good chunk done so far in this pic here, and I think it's the coolest thing I've done yet, but it's being eclipsed already at only halfway through on my next project. That one I'm keeping under wraps right now, though. And Janice, don't let D'arcy see the picture, will ya?
Edit: Now that I see that the early failure DIDN'T wash right out, I think I might have to redo that one.

Hobbson McClure: Corporate Whore!
So I took my first t-shirt job over the last weekend. I don't think I liked it, because I REALLY don't think I like to be told what to do on this kind of thing. I did them for Kirk's cousin Josh, and some of the stuff was fun, but it came out looking a little too busy, I guess, for lack of a better word. The derrick on the right hip is totally my design, and I'm quite satisfied with how all of my hand-drawn stencils have been coming out. I have big plans. Big plans! On the plans note, I plan on re-doing my Wyld Stallyns t-shirt with some small but key inprovements in the very near future. If anyone is interested in one of their own, or for a gift for a nerdy friend or something, get in touch with me in the next week or so, earlier is better of course. You provide the t-shirt, (and a small fee), and I supply the paint and pizzazz!
Yeah!

The Piece Of Resistance! ...Wait, what?
This is my favorite yet by far. It's one of a kind, and it took me forever. And it's awesome. I can't even put it up here, I have to link to it, its awesomeness would kill my blog, then come over and curb-stomp my OTHER blog, 'cause as great as awesome is, awesome has some serious deep-rooted agression issues, and when he gets to drinkin' you just WATCH out!
Oh, yeah, so here it is.
My Evil T-Shirt
I was gonna make a t-shirt that said "If I'm being bad, this is really just my evil twin", but that was too wordy (and cute... maybe I'll make it when I start dating again). So I made this instead. It's gotten a few compliments.
Status : Heavy rotation.
EXCELLENT!
After a weekend viewing of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, I decided I had to have a Wyld Stallyns Tee. The first attempt was WAY too dary, and after washing that out, I got the idea to do a background with white first. The results are here, and as you can see, I got lazy and skimped on the heat-treating, and shit got a little flaky. Serves me right.Still awesome, though.
Status : Heavy rotation.
My Happy Accident
I messed up on this shirt, too, it was an experiment that wouldn't work, but I still kinda like the results, with the odd colour for the shirt, and the off placement of the image.
By the way, for those of you that can't tell, the image is of Batman kicking Superman's ass, as drawn by Frank Miller.
Status : Regular rotation.
Edit: I've been told by several people that they just don't see Batman kicking Superman's ass. Here's the original and mine side by side.
Savage She Hulk!
Not much to say about this Tee. I tried to mix my own paint, and I royally fucked it up.
I love that image, though, I'm gonna have to do something else with that.
Status : Work shirt.
Truthiness... now in Tee form!
The next t-shirt to come was the Colbert shirt. I had such hope for this one, but the colours just didn't work together that way. This was also where I decided the baseball tees could eat my anus, I was sticking to cheaper and much easier to deal with crew-tees. That second colour throws everything off, man!
Oh, and I had done this for the back.
Status : Worn once to London Drugs, I think.
They're One... but They're Not the Same
It all started with the Clone High Tee. I think it was the tee first and not the hoodie. Either way, this was the first one, and while it was promising, it didn't come out being something I'll wear at all. Stef and I had just started at this, so we were still a little unclear on checking the screen for spots that didn't wash, amount of paint to use, etc., so there were spots that I was unhappy with and rather un-expertly attempted to fix. Poor choice.
Status : T-shirt - never worn.
Hoodie - salvageable

The Much-Ballyhooed First Post
Now that I'm doing the screenprinting thing, I've decided to keep a blog to track my progress (if any) and show off my awesome creations (again, if any). This first picture is of the, like, fourth generation of ideas for screenprinting or something, and I believe the last I did before I got a kit at my house. There are pics of the ones before, and if there aren't, I'll take some. When I get the pics, I'll put them up, but for now, this is what you get.The shirts, as shown, were made to commemorate Kirk (in yellow) turning 25. The detail on the bottom reads "doin it for the kids since 1981". At the time, I thought it was hilarious. You know what? Fuck that, I still do! The Kirk keeps it real on another level, Chester!
